Teacher in Ufa beats student with belt as joke, kicks him
The teacher from Ufa explained that the incident involving beating a student with a belt was intended as a joke.
A teacher at a Ufa lyceum stated that as a joke he flogged a seventh-grader during a lesson, and other students confirmed it. This was reported by a UFA1.RU source familiar with the progress of the inspection at the school. Recall that a video from the class spread on social networks, after which a criminal case was initiated.
A video circulating on social media shows the classroom incident where students are heard laughing.
«The teacher and his students explained that this »beating« was a joke, and he kicked him lightly, not seriously. What was he thinking?» said the UFA1.RU source.
Note that in the video, students can indeed be heard laughing at what is happening in the classroom. Moreover, the author of the recording stated that the boy punished in this way was interfering with the teacher conducting the lesson.
The employees of the prosecutor«s office, the Investigative Committee, and the police, who began the inspection, did not find the joke amusing. A criminal case has been initiated under the article »Failure to fulfill duties in the upbringing of a minor, combined with cruel treatment«. Earlier, the lyceum itself also promised our portal to clarify what happened, but after that, the institution stopped answering calls.
