Contractor to paint Putin mural and renovate Chita lyceum

The mural «Faces of Heroes» will feature portraits including those of Vladimir Putin and other notable figures.
The Chita-based company «MSS» will undertake a major renovation of the Zabaikalsky Krai regional boarding lyceum for almost 208 million rubles (approximately $2.3 million at current rates). This is reported on the government procurement website.
The contractor reduced the price in an open tender from 211.3 million rubles (around $2.35 million at current rates) to the final amount. The work must be completed by the end of 2027.
It was previously reported that the contract plans to renovate the main facade of the building, creating on it a mural titled «Faces of Heroes» with portraits of outstanding individuals. The examples include portraits of Magomed Nurmagomedov, Mikhail Lomonosov, Valentina Tereshkova, and Vladimir Putin.
Internal work, aside from the cafeteria, will affect classrooms — for each of them, a specific design, list of equipment, and furniture are provided. The auction documentation specifies that the work will be carried out in buildings No. 1 and 5 at 2 Lenina Street. The renovation will proceed in two stages, covering 2026–2027.
According to the «Kontur.Focus» system, MSS LLC was established in 2009 and registered in Chita. The founder and director of the company is Makhmadzafar Melikov. The company is engaged in the construction of residential and non-residential buildings, as well as repairs, including schools. The company«s revenue for 2024 was 176.2 million rubles (about $2.0 million at current rates), with a net profit of 52.9 million rubles (approximately $590,000 at current rates).
