Klav Koka Departs Black Star Label After Decade-Long Contract

The singer says she now wants to take full control over her career path.
Ural singer Klav Koka has left the Black Star label. This was announced by the company«s founder Pavel Kuryanov (Pasha) in an interview with Laura Jugeliya.
He noted that the ten-year contract with the singer ended on 6 December. Koka will not be renewing it. According to the producer, the parting was difficult for both sides.
«I perceived her not just as an artist, but as a very close person, like a daughter. And now I»m like a father whose time has come to let the child go,« Pasha told.
He noted that he holds no grudge against the singer and is proud of the relationship they maintain. The businessman added that the label has left Klav Koka with full rights to use her artistic name and perform all songs.
The artist herself explained in an interview that she wants to develop as a solo act. According to Koka, she thought long and hard about this decision due to the warm relationship with the label.
«It feels like I need to move out from my parents. Pasha and I have a family-like relationship. I feel like he»s my dad. He is such an important person in my life that the main fear of leaving the label was — how will I manage without Pasha? We«ve grown so close, he was my role model, my support, my rock,» the singer told Laura Jugeliya.
Earlier we wrote that Klav Koka became a winner of the country«s most famous music award — she received the »Golden Gramophone« for the song »I Still Love«.
Prior to that, the artist was suspected of having a romance with a popular blogger. And legendary musician Yuri Loza harshly criticized the singer. The composer believes she was just successfully promoted.
