In Suvorov (Tula Oblast, Russia), a court has sentenced a man who bit a woman on the shoulder during an argument. The case resulted in a criminal investigation and actual punishment.
The Suvorov Interdistrict Court reviewed the case against S.V. Amosov. Earlier, in August 2025, he was already convicted under the same article – for violent acts – and received 8 months of restricted freedom. He had not yet served this sentence at the time of the new incident.
According to the court, in October 2025, in the evening, the man was drinking alcohol with his girlfriend and an acquaintance in a dormitory in Suvorov. During an argument stemming from jealousy, he bit the woman on the left shoulder. The victim experienced physical pain and sustained bodily injuries that did not harm her health.
In court, the defendant fully admitted his guilt.
He was found guilty under Part 2 of Article 116.1 of the Russian Criminal Code – committing other violent acts causing physical pain by a person who already has a conviction for a crime involving violence. Under this article, punishment can include up to two years of imprisonment.
Taking into account the previous sentence, the court finally sentenced the man to 11 months of restricted freedom with a series of restrictions.
