Anna Goldina from Novosibirsk was sentenced to four years in a general regime colony for torturing a nine-year-old girl. The verdict was announced on January 29 in the Novosibirsk Regional Court.

The court found that in the summer of 2024, acquaintances left three children with spouses Oleg and Anna Goldin during a business trip. An 11-year-old boy, as well as girls aged five and nine, lived with them.

The spouses decided that an «entity» had possessed the nine-year-old girl, so they began to exorcise it. The process was accompanied by torture.

«For four days, the spouses did not feed the child solid food, forced her to stand on nettles with bare feet, beat her with nettles, a laundry rope, a rod, recording the abuse on a mobile phone camera,» the Novosibirsk Regional Prosecutor«s Office reported.

Then Oleg Goldin forcibly poured eight liters of water into the girl, after which she died in the hospital.

Criminal cases were initiated against the spouses for the murder of a child and torture (paragraph «v» part 2 article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation and paragraphs «g», «d», «e» part 2 article 117 of the Criminal Code). Oleg Goldin died during the investigation, so the case against him was dropped. The court also ordered Anna Goldina to pay 700 thousand rubles (approximately $7,800 at current rates) in compensation to the parents of the killed child.

Earlier, NGS wrote about a 19-year-old Siberian woman accused of killing her two-month-old daughter. According to the investigation, the girl hit the baby against the sofa several times.
