Schoolgirl Attacked by Suspected Drug Cartel Enforcers in Yekaterinburg

A horrific attack on a schoolgirl from Pervouralsk, who was stripped, beaten, and had a letter carved into her back with a knife, is suspected to be the work of enforcers for a drug shop. A former narcotics police officer told E1.RU who these people are, how they are recruited, how much they are paid, and how this bloody business operates.
The victims are typically «droppers» (people who hide drugs) and others suspected of stealing narcotics. They rarely go to the police because they risk facing criminal charges themselves. This is what happened to Pervouralsk resident Vyacheslav Kurbanov, who was both a victim of enforcers (they were caught and convicted) and was sentenced for drug possession.
«On a dark web platform, a shop posts an ad saying they need people willing to resolve issues with dealers who stole merchandise through brute force,» Alexander told E1.RU. «And those who visit the platform decide whether to take the job. The terms are negotiated: how severely to beat the person, what words of apology to record, various forms of humiliation. Essentially, the full spectrum of requested services is detailed. If the enforcers agree, they leave their passport details, and the victim»s contacts and location are sent to them. The payment depends on the severity of the punishment. The harsher it is, the more they pay.«
Passport details are required in case the executor tries to cheat the client. Then they can become the next victim: their data will be leaked to the police. The scheme does not involve personal communication between the enforcer and the organizer. Everything is done remotely, often from other regions of Russia or even other countries.
«Anyone can become an enforcer. These aren»t organized groups or communities, but people trying to make quick and easy money, typically those with limited intelligence or from troubled backgrounds. Some of them carry out assignments on a regular basis. They get caught, they point to the anonymous person they communicated with, but there are no technical capabilities to quickly unravel this chain. The ones that exist are not known for their speed,« our interlocutor said.
After recording the beatings and humiliation, the enforcers send the footage to the client. If the client is satisfied, they pay. When the attackers are caught, they can say nothing about the person who hired them.
«Communication is completely anonymous, in closed chats and so on. This is not a single organized group. The client, as a rule, isn»t even in Russia. Even if they use a phone or messenger, they are registered under someone else«s details. Unfortunately, this is the dark side of advanced technology,» our interlocutor said.
We previously reported what is known about the torturers of the Pervouralsk schoolgirl. It turned out they are minors themselves. All news on this topic is collected in a separate story.
Pervouralsk is known for its drug enforcers. Read about how they terrorized an entire family, tried to set an apartment on fire, and left a coffin with a photograph and a pig«s head by the door.
The attackers often go unpunished because their victims, themselves involved in crime, are in no hurry to go to the police and do everything to hide the reason they were beaten. Nevertheless, sooner or later they are caught.
We wrote about how another girl in the Urals was beaten by a crowd, doused with green antiseptic, and forced to apologize to «Uncle Escobar.» In the video, she begs her tormentors not to kill her.
The problem of drug addiction among young people is becoming increasingly serious. Most of the most horrific cases are connected to it in one way or another, from the bloody party in Uralmash, where four people died, to the young couple who died in a forest near Verkhnyaya Pyshma. Read about the wave of mysterious deaths across Russia that are also linked to drugs.
