One held, the other beat': Shocking video emerges of attack near Volgograd

A video obtained by V1.RU from a surveillance camera shows an attack on passers-by in Ilovlya, Volgograd region. Two men (rumored to be a former policeman and a 1990s gangster), who call each other «father» and «son» in the recording, savagely beat two passers-by who beg them to stop.
The incident occurred on the night of January 13-14, as reported a week earlier. The victims contacted V1.RU journalists and reported the beating. They do not rule out that the attackers might be connected to the assault on teenagers near the Krasnodonsky House of Culture.
The Krasnodonsky settlement is located about 14 kilometers (9 miles) from Ilovlya. Recently, a man was arrested there who, according to the prosecution, hired boxers to beat four 10th-grade students unconscious at a holiday disco.
According to locals, he was trying to punish the boys for a conflict with his son, with whom the victims allegedly had a quarrel the day before. It is said that the boy involved in the conflict often bragged about his father«s »connections.«
The victims of the beating in Ilovlya claim the attackers are relatives of the already detained instigators of the conflict in Krasnodonsky.
The appeal, like the video, features four people. However, in the press release from the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD) Main Directorate for the Volgograd region, two of them have somehow «disappeared.» In the footage provided by the police, only two people are seen. One of them is clearly holding an object that closely resembles a pistol.
As explained by acting head of the Information and Public Relations Department, Anton Fedotov, only one of the aforementioned individuals is currently involved in the criminal case under Article 112 of the Criminal Code (intentional infliction of moderate harm to health). Based on the response, he was issued a ban on «certain actions» as a preventive measure for the duration of the investigation.
«This citizen does not serve in the internal affairs bodies,» the department«s response clarified.
V1.RU will soon publish all known details of this incident.
