Neighbors Describe Bogorodsky Maniac's Erratic Behavior
In the Moscow Region this week, a horrific story came to light about a serial killer named Dmitry, who, according to investigators, raped and killed women in the SNT «Zvezda». The story became public when the Moscow Region Investigative Committee announced the arrest of a 46-year-old man accused of killing two girls.
He lured them under the pretext of working as nannies for his 9-year-old son, and later raped and killed them. Two other victims survived and managed to escape from him, among them, according to preliminary data, Dmitry«s wife.
As later became known to the media, he killed 19-year-old Alena and 25-year-old Maria, who disappeared without a trace in the summer and autumn of this year. Before that, they had gotten jobs as nannies in this same Dmitry»s house.
There are many strange and non-obvious details in the story. And most importantly — the victims« bodies have not yet been found. MSK1.RU correspondents visited the SNT »Zvezda« to reconstruct the entire chronology of events and talk to the neighbors of the alleged maniac.
House on the Outskirts
The SNT «Zvezda» is located in the Bogorodsky District of the Moscow Region. By the standards of such partnerships, it is quite large — about 1,000 households. In Soviet times, dachas here were allocated to military personnel and engineers; some of their children stayed to live, but many have already sold their property and moved elsewhere.
«Zvezda» comes alive in summer, but in winter it seems to freeze. According to local residents, only about a hundred homeowners remain here, the others leave for Moscow. Few return on weekends. The place itself gives a gloomy impression, especially against the backdrop of the news and the fog that, as if in a horror movie, descended right on the partnership.
The atmosphere is intensified by notices about the missing 25-year-old Maria posted on every pole and at the entrance.
The house of the SNT board chairman and the only store in the entire partnership are closed. According to a local resident, the store operates daily in summer, but from autumn, it«s open every other day.
46-year-old Dmitry, or, as journalists and locals have dubbed him, the Bogorodsky maniac, lives almost on the outskirts. You can only reach his house by car. From the 43rd kilometer railway station, it takes about 40 minutes to walk.
It is known that the man worked as an auto mechanic but mainly engaged successfully in reselling cars. This is evidenced by several proofs — numerous car sale ads on his personal social media page and many tires lying in the backyard of his house.
On his property, there are several buildings: a house, a shed, and another dilapidated structure. Among those who knew him closely are only the nearest neighbors, about four houses.
His profession is reminded not only by the wheels but also by children«s toys — cars. Among the garbage and junk scattered near the house, there are auto parts. Additionally, there is a quad bike and a motorcycle on the property.
The main part of the yard looks well-kept. Order was clearly maintained here. Only the cut birch trunks look strange, literally hidden in the house not by size.
«He»s All Over the Place«
When MSK1.RU correspondents approached the house, light was on only in Dmitry»s yard. The neighbors« lights were all off. The entrance doors to the house were sealed, or rather, tied with a barely noticeable red tape. Besides this, there are no traces indicating that this particular house is the site of the horrific crime.
Running into the maniac«s neighbors at this time of year is a great luck. But that»s exactly what happened — a man with two dogs came out of the house opposite. He immediately made it clear with his whole appearance that he was not happy with uninvited guests, but he still shared several important details.
«Dmitry and I interacted like this: »Hello,« »goodbye,«» the man said. «He lived here all the time, never left for long. As a neighbor, he was strange. He»s all over the place — either a lot of aggression or, on the contrary, too kind: «Oh, let»s have a drink« (he gestured toward the car hood. — Ed.). I tried to limit communication, meaning not talking constantly.»
The neighbor also said that he knew Dmitry«s 9-year-old son, who lived with him. He called him a good boy and added that he feels sorry for the kid because he never noticed anything bad about him.
Recall that the maniac»s wife and the boy«s mother ran away from him in early spring 2025. Where she is now, no one knows for sure, but the neighbor stated that he was not acquainted with her. But he heard that her trail should probably be looked for in St. Petersburg.
From conversations with local residents, it became clear: practically no one in the SNT «Zvezda» saw the missing girls. Probably, Dmitry brought them himself in his car and took them away the same way.
As MSK1.RU learned, when searches were conducted in Dmitry«s house, handcuffs, many sex toys, and dozens of women»s bras were found in the basement. And it would all be fine if not for an important detail: they all belonged to different girls with different figures.
Owed SNT 100,000 Rubles
Overall, the SNT «Zvezda» gives the impression of a very gloomy but clearly not abandoned place. Cars pass through regularly on Friday evening. Rare passersby react to journalists in different ways: some pretend to be ghosts and literally walk through, others invite them to have a beer and discuss the maniac«s fate.
»Do you think everyone here knows everything about everyone?« one local resident, Vladimir, wondered. »About such people — no. He lives on the outskirts, doesn«t drink. You understand how it is: a person opens up when they drink. But he doesn»t drink, well, he drives by, says hello, but otherwise — I can«t tell you anything.»
Among other things, local residents said that Dmitry had debts for SNT services. His plot owes about 100,000 rubles (approximately $1,100 at current rates), which he kept promising to pay but never did.
Upon learning this, MSK1.RU correspondents decided to ask the deputy head of the SNT «Zvezda» in more detail. It turned out to be the well-known radio host Kirill Kalyang.
«I saw Dmitry a few times over the years, he bought a dacha here 10 years ago. Actually, he drove by in a car, I never really talked to him, so I have nothing to share with you,» Kirill said with a smile. «He lives in such a corner that you have to specifically go there to notice anything.»
According to Kirill, he was among the first to learn about what happened from law enforcement. But he cannot disclose the information known to him.
«I can»t say about the debt, but they came to the accounting department, paid for electricity before, there were no questions,« Kirill recalled.
Other residents reacted with surprise to journalists« questions about the maniac. Some returned to the SNT for the first time in several weeks and only just learned that a maniac had been operating here. Others were generally surprised that such a person could live next door to them.
At the moment, the search for the two girls — Alena and Maria — continues. When investigative actions were taking place in «Zvezda», divers came — they dove and studied the bottom of Lake «Lyagushatnik». But the girls« bodies have still not been found.
What Else Is Known About the Maniac?
But, as it turned out, not everyone believes that Dmitry could harm the girls. MSK1.RU published the words of the mother of the missing 19-year-old Alena. She is sure that Dmitry got along well with the girl and would not have harmed her. According to the woman, he personally told her that before the disappearance, they had a quarrel. Dmitry allegedly left the house, and when he returned — Alena and her things were gone.
Additionally, the fate of the maniac«s nine-year-old son became known. According to media reports, he is now with child protective services, and psychologists are working with him. Scars were found on the boy»s body.
