Mother beats three-year-old son to death in Yekaterinburg

In Yekaterinburg, a mother beat her young son to death. This occurred after the child returned home from the hospital following further abuse. This was reported by the Sverdlovsk Region Prosecutor«s Office.

The mother brutally beat the child in April 2025. After that, the boy suffered from pain, but the woman did not seek medical help. An acquaintance who visited and saw the boy»s condition forced her to call an ambulance.

The child was taken to the hospital, but as soon as he returned home, the mother attacked her son again.

«The woman forcefully grabbed and held the child by the hair on his head, struck him at least five times on the head with her palm, at least five times with her fist in the chest and abdomen area, and at least two times with her right knee in the back of her son,» noted the Sverdlovsk Region Prosecutor«s Office.

The mother delivered blows all over his body, then lifted the three-year-old boy into her arms and forcefully threw him to the floor. After that, the toddler died. The woman does not admit guilt.

A criminal case for the murder of a child with particular cruelty has been sent to court. The mother also faces punishment for intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm and cruel treatment of a child.

On November 7, the court sentenced a young mother from Yelan (Sverdlovsk Region) who killed her two-month-old daughter. She was given 9 years of imprisonment to be served in a general regime correctional colony, with restriction of freedom for 1 year and 6 months.

The tragedy itself occurred on June 25, 2025. On that day, the girl cried a lot, and Anastasia was angry because she could not calm her daughter. Danil was at home, but soon left for work, and then received a text message from his wife with the words: «I threw the baby on the sofa, I»m a terrible mother, forgive me and goodbye». The serviceman immediately rushed home from work, called an ambulance and the police, but they could not save the child.

After the murder, Anastasia fled to the bus station. All this time she was writing messages to her husband — he persuaded her to surrender to the authorities.
