The investigation and court established that on the evening of 26 August 2025, the defendant was drinking alcohol at his apartment in the village of Mokhsogollokh. When he went to sleep, his 54-year-old younger brother returned home, and an argument arose between them, escalating into a conflict. Due to personal animosity towards his brother, the defendant struck him twice with a kitchen knife — one in the abdomen and another in the neck. The victim died on the spot from the injuries sustained.

Upon learning of what happened, relatives reported it to law enforcement agencies. The accused was detained and taken into custody. However, in court, he only partially admitted guilt. As a source told 14.RU, the accused tried to justify himself by saying that his brother was behaving aggressively.

The court considered the nature and degree of public danger of the crime and sentenced the defendant to 9 years of imprisonment in a strict regime correctional colony.
