Former Suvorov Military School educator Vladimir Sh. has been sentenced to eight years in a standard-regime penal colony.

The court found that the accused, while still working as an educator, lured a minor cadet to his dacha under the pretext of visiting a bathhouse together, where he committed sexual acts against him.

The defendant did not admit his guilt. However, based on the totality of evidence presented in the case, the court issued a guilty verdict,
reported the united press service of the Sverdlovsk Region courts.

Vladimir Sh. was found guilty under clause «a» of part 3 of article 132 of the Russian Criminal Code.

After serving the main sentence, he was given an additional restriction of freedom for a period of one and a half years.

The court also ordered the convicted man to pay the victim 200,000 rubles (approximately $2,200 at current rates) as compensation for moral harm.

Recall that at the end of last year, another criminal case was initiated in Yekaterinburg regarding harassment of minors: a school security guard was accused of criminal actions against girls, after which he was taken into custody.
