Ex-Aleshino head faces prison as drunk driving case goes to court

The former head of Aleshino settlement, Yuri Isaev, is accused of driving under the influence and causing a deadly crash, as established by law enforcement.

Prosecutor of Rybnovsky District Ivan Tsunaev has approved the indictment in the criminal case against Yuri Isaev, the former head of Aleshino settlement. This was reported by the press service of the Ryazan Region prosecutor«s office.

It was established that on the evening of September 19, 2025, a drunk Yuri Isaev was driving a Land Cruiser when he violated traffic rules by entering the oncoming lane and colliding with a pit bike ridden by a teenager. The 16-year-old boy died at the scene, and Isaev, who was still the head of Aleshino settlement at the time, fled the scene.

The tragedy occurred between the settlements of Konstantinov-Kuzminsky and Fedyakino in Rybnovsky District (Ryazan Region, Russia).

The criminal case has been transferred to Rybnovsky District Court. Yuri Isaev faces up to 12 years in a penal colony.
