Boy Kidnapped in Krasnoyarsk Pleads 'I Want to Go Home' in Video

The Krasnoyarsk Krai prosecutor«s office published a video of 14-year-old Nikolai Kaplia, where he appeals to his father — presumably businessman Andrei Kaplia, who is being demanded a ransom for his son.

“Dad, they say you«re very worried. Yes, I am too. I really want to go home. Please do everything,” the boy says in the video.
In addition, correspondence allegedly between the child«s kidnappers and his father has been posted. Andrei Kaplia asks to speak with his son and prove that he is alright:
According to the prosecutor«s office and the Investigative Committee, the 14-year-old boy was kidnapped from the village of Sosnovy Bor on January 22.
“Preliminary findings show that yesterday late in the evening, the schoolboy«s father, returning home, did not find his son, and three million rubles (approximately $32,000 at current rates) were missing from the safes. Later, the father received a video with the boy»s request to fulfill the kidnappers« demands. In the correspondence, they demanded a ransom ten times the stolen amount,” the prosecutor»s office press service writes.
Currently, law enforcement is checking the version that the boy is acting “under the influence of fraudsters.”
A criminal case has been initiated on kidnapping (clauses “a”, “d”, “z” of part 2 of article 126 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The prosecutor«s office is checking whether preventive conversations about internet fraudsters were held at the school.
