Body of 25-year-old man found in ice hole, murder suspected

In Velsky district, the body of a 25-year-old man with signs of violent death was found — it was located in an ice hole on the Pezhma River. According to the investigation, the man was killed on January 19.

The body was discovered near the village of Shelyubinskaya. Three residents of Velsk have been detained on suspicion of murder. According to the regional Investigative Committee, all of them have previously been held criminally liable. A criminal case has been initiated under Part 1, Article 105 of the Russian Criminal Code (murder).

Investigators believe that on the night of January 19, the victim had a conflict with one of the suspects while they were drinking in a cafe in the village of Lukinskaya.

«On the street, they pushed the victim into the trunk of a vehicle, took him to a deserted place, inflicted multiple blows with their hands and improvised objects to the head and body, after which they threw him into the ice hole of the Pezhma River near the village of Shelyubinskaya. The investigation will petition the court to impose a preventive measure in the form of detention for the detainees,» the Investigative Committee reports.
