A resident of Ryazan has been accused of murdering his wife after more than 22 years. All these years, the man was on the run, according to the press service of the regional prosecutor«s office.
The murder occurred in December 2003 in Ryazan. The accused, as established by preliminary investigation authorities, was drinking with his wife. A conflict arose between them, and the enraged man stabbed his wife several times.
The woman died from the knife wounds in the apartment, and her husband fled and was on the run for 22 years.
In September 2025, police officers detained the accused in Moscow.
The criminal case has been transferred to court.
