In Tyumen, a fashionable Asian cuisine restaurant has closed. The establishment was the bistro «Ofudzi», named for the granddaughter of the famous chemist Dmitri Ivanovich Mendeleev. It was located in a 19th-century building at 4/2 Kuznetsova Street.

The cafe«s social media does not state the reason for the closure but notes that the bar »D. Ivanovich« will now operate in Ofudzi»s space. The bar was previously in adjacent premises and will expand into the vacated area. Both establishments are owned by the same company, DV Group. Ofudzi had been operating in Tyumen for less than a year.

The restaurant company DV Group includes the «Dvortsovaya» restaurant in Tobolsk, the bar «D. Ivanovich», the family cafe «Dolce Vita», the «Donna Valentina» bakeries, the «MaDonna» cafe-culinary, and the «Siberian Croissant» cafe. In Tyumen, it operates the bar «D. Ivanovich» and, until recently, the bistro «Ofudzi». The company«s founders are Elena Roslyakova and Olesya Udovichenko.

In March 2025, we visited Ofudzi for a review. At that time, the establishment was still operating in a technical testing mode. We also previously reported on how the Siberian scientist came to have a granddaughter in Japan.
