Chelyabinsk Wildberries owner films daily tire deluge

The Wildberries pickup point at 38 Tarasova Street in the Sovetsky District of Chelyabinsk continues to be flooded with car tires. Its owner Dmitry hoped that after the publication about this situation, the problem would be resolved, but a month has passed, and tires are still being delivered. And, according to the entrepreneur, there are even more now — over 400 tires pass through the pickup point per day. The fresh repair in the hall is suffering, and customers have difficulty entering from the street. Dmitry filmed an epic video.
The pickup point at 38 Tarasova Street occupies 45 square meters, 20 of which are the customer area, which is completely filled with tires, as is the entrance area. The problem arose recently when Wildberries introduced a service allowing suppliers to pick up their returned goods from the pickup point. It works like this: when selling goods, the supplier distributes them to Wildberries warehouses, and the marketplace then ships them to people through pickup points or courier delivery directly from the WB warehouse. If a customer refuses the goods, they are returned to the warehouse, from where the supplier collects them. But the tire supplier currently finds it convenient to pick up the tires from the pickup point rather than from the warehouse.
«I barely managed to get in today — everything is packed to the ceiling,» Dmitry, the owner of the point, told 74.RU. «Tires are delivered every day, of course, they are later picked up. But more are delivered, again and again. The supplier picks them up twice a day. During a working day, the net turnover is now over 400 tires. And this attraction has been going on for a month. The smell of rubber is unbearable, how do the employees breathe this all day and the customers?»

Dmitry says that his pickup point was new, with fresh repairs, and he opened it in January of this year. And now all the walls and floor are damaged by the tires.
«Colossal damage has been caused,» the entrepreneur continues. «Customers come and say: »My God, you had a new point, what happened to it.« Indeed, everything was done so that people could comfortably pick up their parcels. This is the creed of my work — that the customer is always satisfied. Only thanks to our good service do people come to us, despite these inconveniences, otherwise all customers would have fled already.»

Dmitry repeatedly contacted the company«s support service but received responses that did not solve his problem. Then, in early November, he wrote to our editorial office. We made an inquiry to the Wildberries company. They responded that »specialists are already working on a solution that would help in the future to carry out such returns to specialized areas, bypassing pickup points.« Then Dmitry was promised that tire deliveries would stop from November 18. But this did not happen. On November 19, we asked Wildberries for a comment.
»The specified pickup point has already been completely unloaded and is operating in normal mode — the seller has picked up his own returns that arrived at the point,« responded the Wildberries & Russ press service. »In the personal account, the seller can independently choose several pickup points for the delivery of returns of his products. At the same time, we are already testing in closed mode a project that in the near future will allow such returns to be made directly to the partner«s specialized warehouses, bypassing pickup points, and we will definitely connect the specified seller to such a project.»
Dmitry confirmed that on Wednesday, November 19, the tires were taken out.
«But this is the calm before the storm, around nine in the evening a Gazelle with tires will arrive, and another one at night. And everything will be packed again,» concluded the pickup point owner.
We continue to monitor this situation.
