In Tyumen, the bistro «Ofuji» offering Asian cuisine has ceased operations. The name refers to the granddaughter of the famous chemist Dmitri Mendeleev.

The establishment occupied space in a 19th-century building on Kuznetsova Street, 4/2. The official reason for the closure has not been disclosed.

In the vacated area, the bar «D. Ivanovich» will begin operating, which was previously located nearby. Both projects belong to the restaurant group DV Group. In Tyumen, «Ofuji» existed for less than a year.

The holding DV Group also manages a network of establishments in Tobolsk, including the restaurant «Dvortsovaya», the bar «D. Ivanovich», the family cafe «Dolce Vita», the bakeries «Donna Valentina», the cafe-culinary «Madonna», and the cafe «Sibirsky Kruassan». The founders of the company are Elena Roslyakova and Olesya Udovichenko.

In March 2025, the bistro was still operating in test mode. Mendeleev«s granddaughter, after whom the establishment is named, had Japanese roots.
