A 44-year-old Toyota Chaser has been put up for sale in Vladivostok. Despite its age, the owner is asking 1.7 million rubles (approximately $17,000 at current rates) for the well-preserved golden-colored sedan and in the ad on Drom.ru called it an excellent choice «for old school enthusiasts.»

The Toyota Chaser is a four-door mid-size sedan produced from 1977 to 2001. The model was designed based on the Toyota Mark II and was officially sold only in Japan, but it became very popular in the used car markets of Southeast Asia and Russia, including Primorye.

Like the Skyline, Mark II, Land Cruiser, and many other Toyota models, the Chaser is considered a cult car. The car for sale belongs to the second generation, which was produced for only 4 years—from 1980 to 1984—and the most important innovation was the 6-cylinder engine. It also received a separate sports trim called Avante with special suspension and Michelin tires.

Despite its age, the car«s mileage is not very high—189,000 kilometers—and its power is 100 horsepower. Over 44 years, it has had three owners, including the current one, and has working electronics that allow adjusting the mirrors and heating the rear window.

The seller indicated that the car is a real exclusive that will allow the potential buyer to attract attention on the road not only thanks to its color but also due to the rare Impul Hoshino Racing wheels and a tuning attachment on the exhaust pipe that creates a bassy sound.

On January 18, we wrote that in Artyom, a rare Japanese limousine Nissan President from 1979 is for sale. For the model, which is out of production but well-preserved today, the owner is asking 860,002 rubles (approximately $8,600 at current rates).
