On Tuesday, January 27, daytime traffic jams formed in St. Petersburg, with the service «Yandex.Traffic» rating them at 7 points. Usually, at this day and time, no more than 3 points are recorded.
The sharp increase in traffic jams occurred due to the closure of traffic on the Ring Road (KAD). The Ring Road is not operational on the section from the interchange with Novoselye to the exit to Piskaryovskoye Highway.

A difficult situation developed on the main highways leading into and out of the city. Dense traffic jams formed:

  • on the entrance from the region: Sofiyaskaya Street, Moskovskoye, Pulkovskoye, Volkhonskoye, Krasnoselskoye Highway;
  • on the exit from the city: Tallinskoye Highway, Marshal Zhukov Avenue, Dachny Prospect, Predportovaya Street and the Western High-Speed Diameter (ZSD).
Traffic jams also formed on Moskovskoye Highway and Sofiyaskaya Street in the direction out of the city, on Vitebsky Prospect in both directions, as well as on Narodnaya Street and Murmanskoye Highway up to the KAD.
To the traffic jams, difficulties were added on Oktyabrskaya Embankment, Obukhovskoy Oborony Prospect, and St. Petersburg Highway in Strelna.
