Tyumen Woman Buys and Delivers Horses Across Russia

Yekaterina Plotnikova is a 32-year-old striking and slender blonde. She has been professionally involved with horses for over 10 years. The Tyumen woman adores them and claims they are very intelligent. The rider has tried various directions and settled on equestrian sports. Moreover, she not only manages untamed breeds but also transports them across Russia. This report is about true love for the symbol of 2026.

How It All Began

Yekaterina grew up in a sports family. Her mother and father were involved in equestrian sports. She herself was never afraid of horses; she was drawn to them from an early age. The girl saw how her parents adored these animals and involuntarily developed a love for them. She didn«t particularly think that in the future she wouldn»t be able to live without horses. It came to her over time.

After school, the Tyumen woman entered college and received an education in merchandising. The girl worked in many fields: there were sales and services, but she found herself next to horses.

«When I was about 10 years old, I couldn«t even imagine that I would take such a path. That I would be a trainer and dedicate my entire life to horses. When I turned 12–13 years old, I realized that I would work with these animals, that I would develop in this direction. And it all worked out. Now I have been working as a trainer at a horse club for a year. In general, my coaching activity has been ongoing since 2015. I have special education,» the girl began to tell.

Yekaterina«s mother and father devoted many years to their beloved work and thus instilled a love of horses in their daughter. The girl speaks warmly of her parents:

«My mother performed in show jumping and eventing programs. My father competed with trotters; now he is a farrier (a specialist who shoes horses and cares for them). I myself have been involved in racing, show jumping, and eventing. I settled on specializing as a trainer and now, as a plus, I am involved in transporting horses across Russia. I can transport a horse from Tyumen to Moscow, for example,» shares Yekaterina Plotnikova.

How the Tyumen Woman Transports Horses Across Russia and What It Costs

Despite her refinement and prettiness, the beauty is capable of long trips with horses. The girl says that for her there is no difficulty in this because she loves animals and understands them. The only thing she sometimes asks for is help in loading the tailed ones.

«Traveling is not difficult for me at all, even far. I really love the road!» asserts Yekaterina.

Yekaterina encounters particular surprise from customers who ask her to transport a horse or several for them. It turns out that besides Yekaterina, there are other brave girls in the country who are not afraid of long roads or these massive animals.

«Actually, there are girls in this business all over Russia. Even here in Tyumen, we have three drivers who also transport horses. Men, of course, are surprised by such girls when they need to deliver a heavy, big horse from one point to another,» says the Tyumen woman.

For transporting a horse from one city to another, one can pay up to several tens of thousands of rubles.

«If transportation is within Tyumen, the average bill is 5,000 rubles (about $56 at current rates). If it«s the suburbs, then mileage is counted—35 rubles per kilometer. In any case, each transporter has their own price. Here everything is very individual. What does transportation look like? It»s called a horse transporter: a box trailer where horses are inside. Actually, there are many variants of horse transporters. The one I drive is a crossover car and a trailer that fits two horses. There are vehicles that are like huge trucks, meaning they fit 5–7 horses, and there are even bigger trucks,» explains Yekaterina.

On the road, the Tyumen woman can spend up to several days with the horses. Yekaterina assures that even for the animals, long trips are easy because they are watched over and cared for.

«Our longest trip was from Khanty-Mansiysk to Crimea. I brought the horses from Khanty-Mansiysk to Tyumen. They rested overnight in a paddock, walked around so their legs wouldn«t stiffen. Then we reloaded the horses onto another horse transporter with my help, and the guys took them to Crimea. Along the way, we arranged with a club to accept our vehicle, so the horses could rest overnight, sleep, eat, unwind, load up in the morning, and move on. We have reporting on the road: how the horse is feeling, fed here, watered here, such and such condition. Every horse transporter is equipped with a camera—the driver always sees what»s happening inside the trailer during the trip. In our case, in the end, the horses successfully reached Crimea, everything went well,» explains the Tyumen woman.
Besides transporting horses across Russia, Yekaterina also participates with animals in large-scale events. She says she loves showing her charges to the public:
«We have training sessions or horseback rides; people sign up, and we also coordinate and go out to the fields to ride or conduct training here. We can also go out to city events. Recently—we participated in the parade on May 9. We took part in a Siberian horse trek. We went to the village of Pokrovskoye, our route was 80 kilometers long. That was unforgettable, spectacular, interesting. We walked for two days,» adds Yekaterina.
The Tyumen Woman Raised Two Horses
At the horse club, Yekaterina handles many horses, but two are especially dear and close to her.
«I have two horses in my possession. They are both private now. My very first horse appeared in 2014. We have been together for 11 years now. His name is Neizbezhnny (Inevitable). We have participated in trail riding, show jumping, city events, performed a lot, and traveled. Now the owners ride him; their little daughter and son also train. In summer they come to us at the horse club, and in winter we are just resting for now,» the Tyumen woman tells about her favorites.
The second horse, named Bravurny (Gallant), appeared with Yekaterina not so long ago.
«I brought him from Nizhny Novgorod. He was an untrained horse; he didn«t give in at all; we bought him from Romani people. They are involved in resale, buying cheaper somewhere and then reselling. Now this handsome has such a soft plush nose that, it seems to me, is ready to do anything for a carrot. He trusts me, listens; we calmly go out to the fields, we go on horseback rides with all the guys at the stable, and we enjoy,» she adds.
How Much a Horse Costs and How Expensive It Is to Care For
On average, horses cost from 100,000 rubles (about $1,100 at current rates) and up. But much depends on the owners« desires and the purpose of their purchase.
«Either you buy just for the soul, or you buy for sport. If for sport, then you need to understand that this is racing, eventing, show jumping, dressage, and other disciplines. Here, of course, certain breeds are needed; they can be expensive,» explains the rider.
In addition, Yekaterina consults on horses and helps choose the right horse according to parameters for a future owner.
«I also help in buying and selling horses; different people have different requests. For example, one man needed a horse for hunting. I«ll add that in cases like hunting, the horse must allow shooting from a gun from on top. You understand what kind of psyche, balance, and endurance the horse must have. If a person doesn»t understand this, they turn to me. We selected the right horse for the customer; everything is excellent with this hunter man,» Yekaterina says with a smile.
Maintaining a horse on average costs 40–50 thousand rubles (about $440–$550 at current rates). In different clubs, this amount may vary.
Keeping a private horse in a stable is often more expensive because specialists care for the individual and monitor its schedule.
Yekaterina Plotnikova is a true specialist in this. She manages to find common ground even with the most capricious:
«I have no difficulties with horses. Because I feel them, and they understand me too. I know how to approach them, how to act with them. You just need to find the right individual approach, and the horse will start obeying and learning. I love them very much, and they reciprocate,» Yekaterina concludes.
