Maine Coon in Perm Needs Home After Aggression Towards Child

Timofey is very nervous at the shelter and misses his old home.
A beautiful Maine Coon named Timofey was brought to the Murkot shelter in Perm. According to his former owners, they had to give him up because the cat started behaving aggressively after a child was born in the family. Now, Timofey is looking for a new home.
Natalia Vodoleeva, the director of the Murkot shelter, told 59.RU that the former owners bought Maine Coon Timofey from a classified ads website when he was a kitten. He lived with them for three years and was calm and affectionate. The situation changed drastically when a child was born in the family.
“The furry son started to get jealous,” the shelter told 59.RU. “He terrorized the whole family, gnawed on hands and feet, didn«t manage to get to faces… They surrendered him to the shelter.”
Timofey often cries out from his cage, showing signs of distress.
At the shelter, the large Maine Coon had to be immediately placed in a cage because he is very nervous and shows aggression towards other cats. Due to stress, Timofey often cries in the enclosure.
Now, the new charge is being examined at a veterinary clinic. The cat needs to be neutered. He is adapting for now, but the shelter hopes that over time the cat will become kinder. Timofey would suit a family where he would be the only pet.
