The U.S. Department of Justice has published the so-called «Epstein Library»—a trove of documents, images, and photographs related to the financier«s case. Among the materials, no fewer than ten letters mentioning Chelyabinsk were discovered. The correspondence dates from 2010 to 2015.

Both men and women are listed as addressees in Chelyabinsk. The context of some letters suggests one of the men may have acted as a supplier: one message discusses a girl delivered to Epstein from Ozyorsk (near Chelyabinsk).

A letter addressed to «Irina» drew particular attention. There is speculation this could refer to model Irina Shayk. The text mentions Irina and Oksana, described as girls from Chelyabinsk.

The Epstein Case

American financier Jeffrey Epstein first became the center of a scandal in 2005. He was accused of sex crimes and trafficking minors. According to investigators, he lured young girls to his home where he committed acts of violence.

Searches of his residence uncovered thousands of photographs of nude minors, as well as hidden cameras. Media reports said Epstein used these materials for blackmail. According to some reports, he and his accomplices maintained a woman who was sent to provide sexual services to influential individuals.

The first arrest occurred in 2006. Epstein spent 13 months behind bars. The investigation at that time identified 36 underage female victims. In June 2008, he pleaded guilty to procuring a girl under 16 for prostitution and was sentenced to 18 months in prison but served his sentence in a private wing of the Palm Beach County jail.

In the fall of 2017, the case again drew public attention, leading to new investigations. His mansion in Manhattan yielded thousands more photos and videos of nude minors, which could also have been used for blackmail.

In July 2019, the financier was arrested again, and in August of the same year, he was found dead in his prison cell. The official cause of death was ruled a suicide.
