After the New Year, Voronezh residents were surprised to learn that many city transport routes changed their paths from January 1, and some disappeared from the city map entirely.

Many residents were shocked by the disappearance of route #75, which ran from the VPI Student Campus along Antonova-Ovseenko Street to the Voronezh-1 railway station. It was replaced by bus #18, which runs from the Green Park residential complex to Dimitrov Street. And for the most part, Voronezh residents were not satisfied with this replacement.

Another route whose disappearance outraged residents is #42, which ran from Tverskaya Street to the Voronezh-1 station. The route was in high demand, as people could travel to the city center from the Processor microdistrict.

In response to a Voronezh resident«s question on social media about the fate of route #42, the Voronezh administration explained that there were many complaints about the carrier operating the route last year. Not enough vehicles were deployed on the line, the schedule was not adhered to, and the transport department regularly conducted claim work with the route owner. At the end of last year, the contract for servicing route #42 expired. Back in October 2025, tenders were announced for carriers to obtain the right to operate this route. Alas, no one wanted to work on it. By spring, the administration promised to hold another tender for route #42. Whether there will be anyone willing to transport Voronezh residents along the route they need is unknown.

Currently, the Processor microdistrict is served by route #32 – Uryvskogo Street – VSU. To put it mildly, this is far from equivalent to route #42, but it«s something. From January 1, a new intermunicipal route #153 has been opened, running from the Otradnoye residential complex to the Voronezh-1 railway station via Uryvskogo Street.
