Voronezh-Moscow Trains Cancelled After Gasoline Derailment

Trains between Voronezh and Moscow have been cancelled, and several Tavria trains are delayed after a derailment and fire of gasoline cars at Kochetovka-2 station in the Tambov region.

At the Kochetovka-2 station in the Tambov region, work continues after the incident on February 4 — where gasoline cars derailed and caught fire. As a result, some trains have been cancelled or are delayed.

According to Russian Railways (RZhD), “to optimize the schedule and quickly get trains back on track,” three trains between Voronezh and Moscow had to be cancelled:

No. 65 Moscow — Voronezh;

  • No. 738 Moscow — Voronezh;

  • No. 739 Voronezh — Moscow.

    Passengers are offered alternative trains on the same route. Tickets purchased online will be automatically refunded within a week. If tickets were bought at a ticket office with cash, passengers should go to the same ticket office to process a refund.

    In addition to the cancellation of “capital” routes, “southern” Tavria trains are also delayed, according to carrier Grand Service Express. As of 10:00, the delays were as follows:

    No. 068 Moscow — Simferopol, departing February 4, — by 7.5 hours;

  • No. 195 Moscow — Simferopol, departing February 4, — by 7 hours;

  • No. 007 Saint Petersburg — Sevastopol, departing February 4, — by 5 hours;

  • No. 092 Moscow — Sevastopol, departing February 4, — by 5 hours;

  • No. 008 Sevastopol — Saint Petersburg, departing February 3, — by 5 hours;

  • No. 068 Simferopol — Moscow, departing February 3, — by 6 hours;

  • No. 196 Simferopol — Moscow, departing February 3, — by 4.5 hours;

  • No. 092 Sevastopol — Moscow, departing February 3, — by 7 hours.
