Tyumen Residents Complain About Buses Leaving Early

Tyumen residents are increasingly encountering non-compliance with public transport schedules. Buses and minibuses often depart from stops earlier than the set time, which creates inconvenience for passengers.

One city resident is outraged:
«What are bus drivers thinking when they leave ahead of schedule? Yesterday, I go to work – bus 96 left early. I leave work – same story. It leaves 5 minutes early. And the next one only arrives in 20 minutes. You have to stand in the cold and freeze. Who is this schedule for?»

Such cases are not isolated. Numerous complaints indicate that drivers leave early even from terminal stops, although the reasons for this behavior are unknown.
Another common practice is when minibus drivers, running late, pass by stops without picking up passengers.
«There»s also an interesting practice with minibus drivers; if they«re late, they just drive past empty, without picking up passengers. It»s wonderful, especially in the morning cold,«shares Anna.
Planning trips using online schedules doesn«t help either.
»We check the schedule at home via Wi-Fi, go out to the stop on time. And then it«s a matter of luck: the bus might leave early, might not come (like when routes 55 or 53 break down), or minibuses 84 and 76 run completely off schedule. What»s the point of the schedule? You stand and freeze. Sometimes you end up having to take a taxi,«writes one resident.
Transport tracking systems also work unstably. Using them requires internet, and data often isn«t updated.
»Bus 81 often doesn«t show up in 2GIS, most of the time it doesn»t run on schedule, either it«s late or leaves early. It»s a complete mess, and all calls to dispatchers are useless,«a Tyumen resident says.
Some passengers face difficulties when using mobile apps. Alfia is indignant:
«Put the »Tyumen Transport« app on the »white list«! Otherwise, you stand in the cold at the stop and can»t see where the bus is in your own city! A nightmare!«
A separate problem is topping up TTS (Tyumen Transport Service) transport cards. Payments often don«t go through via banking apps, depriving passengers of discounts. Anastasia reports:
»I topped up the card from Sberbank on Monday, still no money. In the personal account – a deferred payment. When I appealed through Gosuslugi (the Russian government services portal), I got a formal reply. They pocketed a thousand.«Another resident adds:
»What«s the point of these transfer tariffs? I haven»t been able to top up my TTS card for a week now. And my child«s too, it just gives an error. Well, the child is at home now due to cold weather days off, but otherwise would pay as an adult – 37 rubles (about $0 at current rates) instead of 8 rubles (about $0 at current rates).»
A request has been sent to the administration of Tyumen regarding the situation. At the time of publication, no response has been received from the authorities.
Recall that since the beginning of the year, the discount for paying fares through the fast payment system has been canceled in Tyumen. Previously, passengers could save 8 rubles (about $0 at current rates) by paying for the trip via QR code.
