Tula Plans Third Phase of Eastern Bypass for 2026

In Tula, preparations are underway to begin the third phase of construction of the Eastern Bypass—a road intended to relieve the city of transit traffic. On January 22, this issue was discussed at an on-site meeting involving regional and city authorities, as well as contractors.
The project involves building a new road section approximately 1.8 kilometers long. A two-level interchange will be constructed on it. Essentially, this is an extension of the existing bypass that will allow trucks and transit vehicles to avoid entering residential areas and the center of Tula.
Authorities expect that after the work is completed, the load on the main city highways will decrease, and traffic in the city will become freer and safer.
Construction is planned to start in the second quarter of 2026. Currently, the project is undergoing final approvals at the federal level.
The regional government notes that the development of the road network is one of the priority tasks for the region, so they plan to approach the implementation of the Eastern Bypass with maximum responsibility.
