The head of Samara, Ivan Noskov, reported on the results of an analysis of the public transport route network. The mayor published the findings in his Telegram channel.

«We have made the first changes to the schedule of some bus and tram routes. Certain aspects are now being fine-tuned. The next step is to continue renewing the vehicle fleet and creating an intuitive and safe system,» Ivan Noskov reported.

The city mayor shared a plan to remove one type of public transport from the streets of Samara.

«To be honest: marshrutkas (fixed-route taxis) will be replaced by modern, comfortable buses. This is exactly what a modern city needs, especially a metropolis. And it is very important that all types of transport, regardless of the carrier, adhere to uniform tariffs, including discounted ones. We are carrying out this work jointly with the regional Ministry of Transport (Mintrans),» Ivan Noskov stated.

The head of Samara also noted the first positive results of the analysis conducted.

«New bus route No. 87 has connected the Krutiye Klyuchi neighborhood with the Kirovskaya metro station; the schedule for buses No. 6, 12, 38, 47, and tram route No. 9 has been adjusted. New »Lvenok« model trams have been deployed on tram routes No. 3 and 13. On bus routes No. 21, 30, 38, 47, and 55, the number of trips has been increased and the intervals between them have been reduced. In some cases — by half,» Ivan Noskov noted.

The mayor of Samara published a telephone number for submitting suggestions to improve the work of public transport in the regional capital: 8 (846) 212-94-26.

Earlier, we reported that the transport department plans to return trams to Khlebnaya Square.
