Omsk residents can buy 1079 liters of gasoline with average wage

Analysts have ranked Russian regions by how much gasoline residents can purchase with their average salary, as fuel prices rose nearly 10% over the year.

Analysts from the RIA Novosti agency have compiled a rating of regions by gasoline affordability. To do this, they divided the average salary in federal subjects by the cost of AI-92 grade fuel, which also varies by region.
Residents of Moscow and Chukotka can buy the most gasoline — 2,500 liters on the average salary. Moreover, in Moscow, a liter of fuel costs 61.4 rubles (about $0.65 at current rates), while in Chukotka — 74 rubles (about $0.78). Almost the same amount — 2,436 liters can be bought by residents of Yamal.
Omsk Oblast found itself in the middle of the list among all regions — residents can purchase 1,079 liters of gasoline with the average salary. The cost of a liter of AI-92 fuel is 57.77 rubles (about $0.61) and has increased by 9.9% over the year.
The least affordable gasoline is in Chechnya, Dagestan, and Ingushetia, where residents can purchase only 601-640 liters of fuel with the average salary.
