The fare will change on two suburban routes, No. 1344 and 1346, which run from the Khovrino metro station to the Levoberezhny district in the Moscow region city of Khimki. These buses are now switching from a zonal to a fixed tariff.

Authorities detail the upcoming changes for the affected bus routes.

We reported that these two routes, which connect Moscow with the region, were launched in December 2025. Bus 1344 now takes passengers to the Moscow Central Diameters (MCD-3) Levoberezhnaya station via Zelenaya and Levoberezhnaya streets. Bus 1346 goes to Sovkhoznaya Street in the Levoberezhny residential complex. The former Moscow region routes 344 and 344s are being replaced and will no longer operate.

As clarified by the Moscow Department of Transport (Deptrans), the cost of a single ride will not change — 71 rubles (about $1 at current rates) with a Troika card, 76 rubles (about $1) with a bank card. The Strelka card no longer works on these routes, as they are now operated by a Moscow carrier.

«You do not need to tap your card a second time when exiting — a second charge will occur. All benefits for the Moskvich (Moscow resident) and Moscow Region resident cards are preserved,» the department added.

There are no transfer discounts to the metro and Moscow routes (they are only available in Moscow if you register your Troika card in the app). Also, for the Troika card, you can purchase unlimited passes for 30, 90, and 365 days, but only in the «Suburban» zone.

Since mid-summer 2025, the capital«s Mostransagent (Moscow City Transport) has been operating adjacent routes from Moscow to the Moscow region. From December 13, Moscow buses also began running on four routes towards Krasnogorsk and Odintsovo, and from the 20th, they will launch routes to Khimki and Dolgoprudny.
