The Arbitration Court of Bashkortostan has ruled to recover money from «Bashavtotrans» for the restoration of an architectural monument in Ufa, which was damaged by buses two years ago. This concerns the Yakushev Mansion, located at the intersection of Tsyurupy and Dostoevsky Streets. UFA1.RU provides details of the case.

A third bus involved in the incident managed to brake in time.

Three years ago in Ufa, several buses collided: a «Bashavtotrans» vehicle was traveling on Tsyurupy Street, while at the intersection, a bus from the private carrier «Avtomig» was turning from Dostoevsky Street. The private operator tried to overtake the competitor—which it did, but the driver misjudged the speed, and a bus from the state carrier then crashed into it by inertia. As a result, both buses crashed into the Yakushev Mansion, built in 1905.

In March 2023, the court found the driver of «Avtomig» at fault for the accident—he had run a red light. The driver«s license was revoked for a year and a half.

In November 2023, the state institution responsible for the protection of cultural heritage sites filed a lawsuit against «Avtomig» (and later against «Bashavtotrans»). It sought to recover from the defendants the money for the building«s repair, which was estimated at 4.2 million rubles (approximately $42,000 at current rates).

Now the court has put an end to the case: «Bashavtotrans» must reimburse the repair costs. The amount is no longer 4.2 million, but 387.1 thousand rubles (approx. $3,900), plus 16.4 thousand rubles (approx. $164) for the appraiser«s work and 10.7 thousand rubles (approx. $107) for the state fee. The claims against »Avtomig« were denied.

Furthermore, «Bashavtotrans» will have to pay its competitor 177.8 thousand rubles (approx. $1,800) for court expert examinations.

Why the court made this decision is currently unknown, as the full text of the ruling has not yet been published.

According to «Kontur.Fokus,» LLC «Avtomig» was founded in Podolsk, Moscow Region, in 1997, but in 2025 changed its registration address to Chechnya. The company is currently headed by Emin Gilkhayev.

In the past, «Avtomig» was managed by Valery Akopdzhanyan and Mikhail Naugolnykh. Both entrepreneurs own (or owned) shares in other motor transport enterprises, such as the firms «Riko,» «Rand-Trans,» «Avtomigtrans,» and others.

It is worth noting that «Rand-Trans,» as reported by our colleagues from 76.RU, appears in provinces simultaneously with authorities« decisions to get rid of minibuses (marshrutkas) in order to replace them with large buses. According to »Fontanka,« the company is connected through several intermediaries to the son of Russian Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev.

It is assumed that «Avtomig» itself may have appeared in the Perm Krai and Bashkortostan together with Alexander Klebanov, the former Minister of Transport of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
