Bashkortostan ranks 43rd in gasoline affordability among Russian regions

The Republic of Bashkortostan ranks 43rd in gasoline affordability among Russian regions, according to a study by RIA Rating. Analysts calculated how much AI-92 gasoline can be bought with the average monthly salary in each region and how prices have changed over the year.
Thus, in Bashkortostan, the average resident«s income can pay for 1,071 liters of »92-octane« gasoline. However, over 2025 it became 10.2% more expensive — in December, this grade of gasoline was sold at 59.60 rubles per liter (about $0.60 at current rates).
For comparison, here are the figures for neighboring regions:
Chelyabinsk Oblast: 1,201 liters, +11.2%;
Sverdlovsk Oblast: 1,277 liters, +10.2%;
Udmurt Republic: 1,093 liters, +9.9%;
Republic of Tatarstan: 1,275 liters, +12.8%;
Orenburg Oblast: 1,049 liters, +10.8%;
Perm Krai: 1,169 liters, +9.7%.
The top three in the rating are Moscow (2,528 liters), the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug (2,463 liters), and the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug (2,436 liters). The bottom three are Chechnya, Ingushetia, and Dagestan, where the average salary cannot pay for even 700 liters.
Recall that in Bashkortostan, gasoline prices were last «updated» at the end of January. Although the increase was less than a ruble (about $0.01 at current rates), readers note that prices are rising «slowly but noticeably.» Shortly before that, we drove around gas stations in Ufa and checked where to refuel the cheapest.
