In Omsk, a criminal case has been initiated under the article for abuse of authority after two multistory buildings on the Left Bank were put into operation, despite being uninhabitable. The houses, located within the boundaries of Perelyota and Sharonova streets, were not ready for occupancy due to a whole range of construction and technical deficiencies.

According to the investigation, officials and managers of the companies involved in the construction were aware of all the existing deficiencies but decided to allow the building to be occupied.

«The unlawful actions of the suspects have significantly violated the rights of citizens — participants in shared-equity construction, because the construction and technical work by the contracting organizations was not completed in full, and therefore the citizens do not have a real opportunity to use the provided residential premises,» the press service of the regional investigative committee said.

Currently, investigators have seized documentation, appointed expert examinations, and are interrogating witnesses and victims.

Yesterday we reported that residents of house No. 29 on Sharonova Street, who received apartments as equity participants in the construction, complained that the windows were poorly installed, pipes are leaking, and there are significant temperature fluctuations, making it impossible to move in until the situation is fixed.
