In Moscow, two historic buildings have been put up for auction: the Ryabushinsky estate on Yakimanka and the house of pilot Boris Rossinsky in Khamovniki. Both are considered architectural monuments and are federally owned.

The Ryabushinsky estate is located in the 3rd Golutvinsky Lane. The 1,300-square-meter building was constructed in the early 19th century for the entrepreneurial Ryabushinsky family and served as a rental property over the years. In the 1840s, it was rented by the Tretyakov family. Later, a public canteen was opened in the mansion, and then it was transferred to the Imperial Philanthropic Society, which established a shelter here for orphans and widows of the merchant and petty bourgeois classes.

After the 1917 revolution, the estate was nationalized. Initially, the building was used for residential purposes, and later it housed various institutions. The starting price for the lot is 165 million rubles (approximately $1.83 million at current rates). According to the property listing, the new owner will be able to open a boutique office, museum, club project, or premium salon here.

The house of Russian pilot Boris Rossinsky is located in Maly Vlasievsky Lane and is considered a cultural heritage site of regional significance. In the 18th century, the estate of Prince Mikhail Lvov stood on this plot, which burned down during the fire of 1812. In the first half of the 19th century, a new estate was built here, and in 1855 it came into the possession of Anna Zavadovskaya. The wooden house on a stone foundation was executed in the eclectic style, and in the early 20th century the building was reconstructed according to the design of architect Mikhail Felkner.

From 1925 to 1977, the house belonged to Boris Rossinsky, who is called the «grandfather of Russian aviation.» The interiors preserve elements of historical decor, including stucco work. In 2011, the building was restored and the interiors were renovated. The starting price for the house is 204 million rubles (approximately $2.27 million at current rates).
