Kuban Prosecutor Tabelsky Appointed Deputy Prosecutor General

Vladimir Putin appointed Kuban Prosecutor Sergei Tabelsky as Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation on February 4, relieving him of his post, according to Decree No. 51.

Recall that in late January, Putin submitted a nomination for Tabelsky«s new position to the Federation Council. Former head of the Komi Prosecutor»s Office, Sergei Bazhutov, also received a position in the Prosecutor General«s Office.
It is not yet known who will become the new prosecutor of Krasnodar Krai. The agency«s website still lists Sergei Tabelsky as the head. Currently, the position of first deputy is held by 45-year-old Alexander Trukhin.
Trukhin was born in 1980 in Irkutsk and graduated from Ural State Law Academy. He has worked in the prosecutor«s office in various positions since 2003. From April 2021 to February 2025, he was deputy prosecutor of Yakutia. Since February 3, 2025, he has been first deputy prosecutor of Kuban.
Who is Sergei Tabelsky?
Tabelsky was born on January 23, 1967 in a village in Orenburg Region. In 1993 he graduated from Sverdlovsk Law Institute. From 1992 to 2009 he worked in the Orenburg Region prosecutor«s office, rising from trainee and assistant to deputy prosecutor of the region.
From 2009 to 2013 he was prosecutor of Kalmykia, then until 2017 — of Kaliningrad Region. In March 2017, Tabelsky was appointed prosecutor of Krasnodar Krai.
He holds the rank of 2nd class State Counselor of Justice, is married, and has three children.
