The U.S. Department of Justice has released the largest trove of documents in history related to the case of Jeffrey Epstein, a financier accused of creating a system for the sexual exploitation of minors.

This is the sole mention of Tula found within the Epstein files.

He hosted gatherings of the world«s richest and most famous people on his private island, including U.S. presidents, such as Donald Trump. On the island, they engaged in various »entertainments« which allegedly included murders, rapes, pedophilia, and so on.

The public release consists of hundreds of gigabytes and millions of pages of correspondence, screenshots, testimony, and official materials, which mention the names of major politicians, billionaires, and members of royal families.

The documents have spurred a wave of conspiracy theories, essentially baseless accusations, and discussions about elite impunity. The files contain Russian surnames. But what does that prove? Details are in the material from colleagues at Fontanka.

Unexpectedly, Tula — and not only Tula — is mentioned in the scandalous financier«s files. However, only once.

Earlier, a media report claimed that the Arms Capital appears in the «Epstein files» a full 20 times — though it was unclear whether the American himself ever visited the Tula region and what the connection might be.

A closer examination of the documents makes it clear that 19 of those 20 mentions are connected to a name — a certain Tula Terry from Sweden.

Nevertheless, the Arms Capital is genuinely mentioned once in the «Epstein files». However, it was within a news digest that was sent to the financier«s email. And even then, most of the attention there was given to »Shchekinazot«, as an example of the successful outcome of the Kosygin reforms.

Therefore, based on the published data, it is currently safe to say — Tula has no relation to the scandal surrounding the «Epstein files». But that could change after the publication of the next batch of documents.
