In January–February 2026, more than 200 employees may be laid off in the Tyumen Region, according to data submitted by 35 companies in the region.

“Thirty-five organizations provided information on the planned phased dismissal and reduction of 230 employees in January–February 2026,” the Tyumen Region Department of Labor and Employment said.

Specific names of the companies where layoffs will occur have not been disclosed. At the same time, the local labor market still has vacancies, including those with high income levels. Some offers exceed 300,000 rubles ($3,200 at current rates) per month. Previously, residents of the region debated whether such an amount is sufficient for a comfortable life.

Tyumen residents cite the following as the main reasons for voluntarily leaving their jobs:

  • conflicts with management;
  • unsatisfactory working conditions;
  • heavy or unstable schedule;
  • low wages;
  • health problems.
