Ulyanovsk declares drone threat alert, internet disrupted

On 26 January at 7:30, a «drone threat alert» was declared in the Ulyanovsk region, according to the regional Emergency Situations Ministry. Residents received warning SMS messages. Mobile internet service is severely hampered. Reports on social media indicate disruptions had been observed since the evening of 25 January. Even websites from the «whitelist» were difficult to access. As reported by the Telegram channel «Ulyanovsk Region Alerts,» a threat of a UAV attack has also been recorded in the Samara region.
As a reminder, during the period of restrictions, residents of Ulyanovsk can use free Wi-Fi — access points have been created throughout the region. There also should be no problems with cashless fare payment on public transport.
