Trade Company Employee Dies at Workplace in Izhevsk

In Izhevsk, an employee of one of the trade companies died during a work shift. This was reported by the press service of the State Labor Inspectorate in the Udmurt Republic.
The accident occurred on January 22, 2026. A stowage worker at JSC «Izhtorgmetall» felt unwell while loading a car. Colleagues took him to a utility room and called an ambulance. However, they could not save the man. The ambulance team that arrived at the scene pronounced him dead.
Since the trade company employee died at the workplace, the State Labor Inspectorate in the Udmurt Republic initiated an investigation. The causes and circumstances of the incident are being established.
Recall that, according to the department, this is already the fifth case of a person«s death during a work shift in 2026. Thus, on January 20, the State Labor Inspectorate reported that a driver for a pharmaceutical company suddenly fell ill on the way from Glazov to Izhevsk. He went to the emergency room of the Yakshur-Bodyinskaya District Hospital with complaints of severe chest pain and difficulty breathing. However, it was already too late — the doctors could not save him.
