Third Fire in 24 Hours Destroys Private House Near Volgograd

Witnesses report a fire in a private house on Oktyabrskaya Street in the Novoaninsky district of the Volgograd region. According to photos from the scene published on a local Telegram channel, fire services are already at work.

The same Telegram channel recalled that two fires had already occurred on the evening of January 25. The first was on Mira Street. Presumably, the cause was a short circuit in a New Year«s garland. »In 15 minutes — it went up like gunpowder,« eyewitnesses added. Information about the second fire appeared just 1.5 hours later — a private house on Zarechnaya Street was burning.

Most likely, people are trying to heat their homes with electricity. The wiring can«t handle it. The gas pressure is nonexistent, the boiler is throwing an error this morning, local residents wrote.

Information about these two fires appeared on the website of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) main directorate for the Volgograd region. In the first case, the preliminary cause was a malfunction of an electrical appliance.

At 17:31, a message about a fire in the Novoaninsky district of the Volgograd region was received by the dispatcher of the fire and rescue service. In the town of Novoaninsky, in a private house measuring 11x10 meters, household items were burning over an area of 10 square meters. Units of the 47th fire and rescue station extinguished the fire at 17:46. There were no fatalities or injuries. The presumed cause of the fire is a malfunction of an electrical appliance.

In the second case, the agency named a malfunction of gas equipment as the cause of the fire.

At 19:34, a message about a fire in the Novoaninsky district of the Volgograd region was received by the dispatcher of the fire and rescue service. In the town of Novoaninsky, a private house measuring 10x10 meters was completely engulfed in flames. Units of the 47th fire and rescue station extinguished the fire at 20:40. There were no fatalities or injuries. The presumed cause of the fire is a malfunction of gas equipment.

The EMERCOM main directorate for the Volgograd region reported that information about the fire in a private house on Oktyabrskaya Street in the Novoaninsky district is being clarified. The editorial office of V1.RU has requested a comment from the regional health department on whether there were any victims in the fire.

Recall that a recent fire in a two-family private house took the life of a four-year-old child and sent four people to the hospital: adults were in intensive care in serious condition. Local residents believed that the cause of the tragedy in Mikhailovka could be problems with gas or a malfunctioning kitchen stove.
