Perm Krai Investigative Committee opens case after fatal ambulance crash

The ambulance and a foreign car collided head-on during the crash on the Karagay–Kudymkar highway.
The Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case after a road accident on a highway in Perm Krai, where four people died. The chairman of Russia«s Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, has taken it under his control.
Yesterday, January 30, on the Karagay–Kudymkar highway, an ambulance, a Lada Largus, carrying four patients from procedures from Kudymkar to Karagay, collided with a foreign car. In the accident, four people died: the driver of the Lada and three patients. The driver of the other car and the fourth patient were taken to the hospital.
Investigators from the Kudymkar Interdistrict Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for Perm Krai opened a criminal case on charges under the criminal article «provision of services that do not meet safety requirements, resulting in the death of two or more persons due to negligence.» The chairman of Russia«s Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, took control of the case and demanded a report on the investigation.
