A criminal case has been opened in Chelyabinsk after a 7-year-old boy was injured on a tubing track at the Russkie Zabavy recreation center in the Shershni area. The regional office of the Investigative Committee reported this on Thursday, 5 February.

The investigation was launched under an article on providing services that do not meet safety requirements (Part 1, Article 238 of the Russian Criminal Code).

Part 1 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code provides for various penalties, from a large fine to up to two years in prison.

The head of Russkie Zabavy, Stanislav Berg, believes that the center provides services that fully meet all safety requirements.

«It»s not our fault. We have all the signs on the track, we have trained workers, it«s purely a human error,» he explained. «No one approached us, they didn»t ask to call an ambulance. But we are ready to contact the mother [of the victim] and provide assistance.«

As reported by 74.RU, on 1 February, a 7-year-old boy was hit by a vacationer who sped down on a snow tube on the slope at Russkie Zabavy. The child was diagnosed with a displaced fracture of the left humerus and underwent two surgeries.
