Minusinsk Mayor Films Near Head-On Collision
The mayor of Minusinsk shared video from a highway accident where his car avoided a head-on collision.
Mayor Dmitry Merkulov of Minusinsk was involved in a car accident on a highway.
Additional footage from the incident was posted on the mayor«s social media account.
The accident happened today, January 26, early in the morning. Dmitry Merkulov was traveling to Krasnoyarsk in an official car with a driver. On the highway, another car swerved into their lane, and to avoid a collision, they had to sharply pull over to the shoulder.
‘We almost crashed head-on just now. We flew off the road. A car came flying into our lane. Fortunately, the experienced driver sharply went into the ditch. We didn«t flip over, thank god. So be careful when you»re driving,’ Dmitry Merkulov says in a video from the scene.
He posted footage of the accident on his VKontakte page. According to Merkulov, no one was injured in the accident.
