Minivan Crashes into Lada on Samara Road, Child Hurt

Police partially closed the road following the accident on the Orenburg access highway.

Passengers of the domestic Lada car were injured in the collision with a minivan.
The footage shows the cars thrown a considerable distance apart from each other. One of the vehicles landed in a roadside ditch. Rescuers worked at the scene.
According to police, the incident happened at 08:45 on the 33rd kilometer of the «Orenburg access road from the M-5 Ural highway.» Two cars collided.
«A 22-year-old driver of a Hyundai Starex, while overtaking, entered the oncoming lane in a permitted zone and crashed into a Lada Granta driven by a 30-year-old man,» reported the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Samara Region.
The driver of the Lada and his two passengers—a woman born in 1975 and a six-year-old boy—were hospitalized from the crash site. The boy was in a child car seat.
The road had to be partially closed. Traffic police officers are regulating traffic.
A month ago, a head-on collision occurred in the Volzhsky District. Unfortunately, a person died in that accident.
