Minivan crashes into Lada on Samara highway, child injured
On Saturday, 31 January, a serious accident occurred in the Volzhsky District of the Samara Region. The accident was witnessed by passing motorists. Watch the video from the scene.
The recording shows that the cars were thrown apart a considerable distance. One of the vehicles flew into a ditch. Rescuers worked at the scene.
According to police, it all happened at 08:45 on the 33rd kilometer of the road «Access to Orenburg from the M-5 Ural highway». Two cars collided.
«A 22-year-old driver of a Hyundai Starex, while overtaking, moved into the oncoming lane in a place where it is allowed and crashed into a Lada Granta driven by a 30-year-old man,» reported the Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for Samara Region.
From the accident scene, the driver of the Lada and his two passengers were hospitalized: a woman born in 1975 and a 6-year-old boy. The latter was in a child car seat.
The road had to be partially closed. Traffic police officers are regulating traffic.
A month ago in the Volzhsky District of the region, a head-on collision occurred. Unfortunately, in that accident, a person died.
