Food kiosk catches fire under Perm's Christmas tree dome
Flames engulf a snack vendor stall under the prominent Christmas tree dome in central Perm.
A kiosk selling food caught fire under the dome of the Christmas tree on Perm«s esplanade. The Ministry of Emergency Situations (MChS) told 59.RU about the fire.
Smoke rises from the area around the esplanade«s Christmas tree, visible from a distance.
This afternoon, footage appeared on the Telegram channel «Perm Emergencies and Accidents, News» showing smoke coming from the windows of the kiosk under the Christmas tree dome on the esplanade. The stall sells non-alcoholic drinks and hot dogs.
Emergency personnel approach the small structure as they work to extinguish the blaze.
«The kiosk on the esplanade is on fire, two fire trucks and an ambulance quickly arrived,» wrote an eyewitness. «It seems there are no casualties.»
Whether anyone exited the premises is unclear from the video. A 59.RU reader passing by the esplanade also noted that fire trucks had gathered there.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Perm Krai told 59.RU that they received a report of a fire in the kiosk at 12:50, and the fire was extinguished by 13:03. No one was killed or injured.
