On the evening of February 4 in St. Petersburg, reports of smoke emerged near the Lesnaya metro station. It turned out that the source of the smoke was a fire at a humanitarian aid collection point on Kantemirovskaya Street, where two Molotov cocktails had been thrown.

EMERCOM rescuers extinguished the blaze covering an area of 30 square meters in the basement, taking over two hours. The interior was covered with soot.
Vladimir Bakin, deputy director of the Dobrovolets Foundation, stated that humanitarian aid, medical supplies, and uniforms were completely burned on the premises covering about 120 square meters.
Law enforcement detained a 24-year-old woman suspected of involvement in the incident. A criminal case was opened under the article on terrorism.
The suspect came from Vologda. Police clarified that she had no dangerous objects, and the box she threatened to explode contained a live pigeon.
