Fatal Pargolovo Crash: Lexus Ablaze, Renault Driver Dead

A fatal road accident occurred in the Vyborgsky District of St. Petersburg on the night of January 26. At the scene, eyewitnesses captured images of smashed cars and a covered body, which other drivers had to navigate around.
Firefighters responded to extinguish flames in one of the vehicles following the crash.
According to the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for St. Petersburg and Leningrad Oblast, around midnight, a 20-year-old driver of a Renault Logan lost control and ended up in the oncoming lane of Vyborgskoye Highway near house 447. The car collided with a Lexus and, as seen in video from the scene, overturned.
The young man driving the Renault died from his injuries. The driver of the Lexus, a 43-year-old man, was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.
Police are investigating all circumstances of the incident. A criminal case has not been opened at this time.
