In the Voronezh region, a man lying on the roadway died under the wheels of a foreign-made car. This was reported by the regional office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The tragedy occurred on Sunday, January 25, around 3:30 AM at house No. 45 on 3rd International Street in Buturlinovka. According to preliminary police data, a 19-year-old drunk driver (0.223 mg/l) from Pavlovsky district behind the wheel of a Daewoo Nexia hit a 46-year-old pedestrian. The man was lying on the roadway at that moment.

The pedestrian died from his injuries at the scene of the accident before medical personnel arrived. Police are conducting an investigation.

In total, over a 24-hour period, 98 traffic accidents occurred in the region. Of these, 60 were in Voronezh, 26 in the districts of the region, and 12 on federal highways. In four accidents, five people were injured, and one died.
