Drunk Driver Hits Family with Child in Chita — Video
A drunk 27-year-old driver of a Toyota Vista, without a license, hit two pedestrians with a small child on Promyshlennaya Street in Chita on the afternoon of January 25, according to the regional traffic police«s Telegram channel.
As a result of the accident, a 58-year-old woman was hospitalized with various injuries, and an 8-year-old boy received one-time medical assistance for bruises.
The crash on a Chita street was captured by surveillance cameras.
The impact was so strong that the car«s bumper broke and the rear window was knocked out.
The driver was charged under part 3 of article 12.8 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation for driving under the influence and without a license. This offense carries an administrative arrest of 10 to 15 days, or a fine of 45,000 rubles (about $500 at current rates) for those to whom arrest cannot be applied.
